In the second quarter of 2025, the carpooling and ridesharing app market on Android in the United Kingdom showcased interesting trends. Here's a closer look at the top five apps based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 38K in early April and reaching approximately 46.5K by the end of June. Weekly active users also demonstrated growth, climbing from about 2.4M to over 2.7M throughout the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw its weekly downloads fluctuate, with a noticeable rise from 16.5K in early April to over 20K at the end of the quarter. Active users increased significantly, starting at 437K and reaching 583K by the end of June.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver maintained a stable download rate, hovering around 10K initially and peaking at about 12.3K mid-June. Active users showed a slight overall increase from 218K to 223K during the quarter.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares experienced a decline in downloads, starting at 5K and dropping to 3.4K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 28.6K to 26.3K over the quarter.

Grab - Taxi & Food Delivery maintained a relatively stable download rate, with numbers around 4.1K initially and slightly decreasing to 3.3K by the quarter's end. However, active users saw an increase from 218K to 231K during this period.
